OVERVIEW
WHO WE ARE
West Scarborough Neighbourhood Community Centre (WSNCC) has been the hub of the West Scarborough community since 1956 when it was first initiated as the West Scarborough Boys Club by the Scarborough Civitan Service.
As a premier provider of high-quality programs for children, youth, adults, seniors, and families, WSNCC is dedicated to offering transformative experiences that are not only affordable and accessible but also consistently reliable.
We are committed to fostering an inclusive and supportive environment where every individual can thrive and reach their full potential. Whether through educational initiatives, recreational activities, or family support services, WSNCC strives to make a lasting difference in our community.
OUR MISSION
The primary mission of the West Scarborough Neighbourhood Community Centre is to offer neighbourhood programs and services designed to enhance the well-being of people in the context of their community, culture and environment.
OUR VISION
At the West Scarborough Neighbourhood Community Centre, our vision is People Helping People Help Themselves. It reflects our commitment to empowering individuals and fostering a resilient community. Through our diverse programs—ranging from youth development and educational workshops to senior engagement—we provide the tools and support needed for people to take control of their lives.
OUR COMMUNITY
The West Scarborough Neighbourhood Community Centre has a catchment area that has expanded to include a large number of Scarborough neighbourhoods.
Our immediate service boundaries are Kingston Rd. to the South, Lawrence Ave. to the North, Main Street to the West and Kennedy Ave to the East. Many of our programs, however, are Scarborough wide.
West Scarborough employment programs are located at Pharmacy / Lawrence, Midland/Lawrence and Neilson / Sheppard and provide services to hundreds of individuals across the greater Toronto area.
West Scarborough also has a network of Early ON and BGC programs that provide services in North Scarborough.

TODAY
The WSNCC operates on land that is the traditional territory of many nations including the Mississaugas of the Credit, the Anishnabeg, the Chippewa, the Haudenosaunee and the Wendat peoples and is now home to many diverse First Nations, Inuit and Métis peoples. We acknowledge that Toronto is covered by Treaty 13 signed with the Mississaugas of the Credit, and the Williams Treaties signed with multiple Mississaugas and Chippewa bands. We also acknowledge all Treaty peoples – including those who came here as settlers – as migrants either in this generation or in generations past and those who came here involuntarily, particularly as a result of the trans-Atlantic slave trade.
