On Thursday we brought together women from across our WSNCC staff team to celebrate the incredible role they play in our community. We shared lunch, good conversation, and a small gesture of appreciation with flowers for everyone to take home.
A special thank you to @cifd_toronto for generously donating the beautiful flowers and arrangements, and to @treats.by.teesh for the amazing Women’s Day themed cake pops that made the celebration even sweeter. ??
WSNCC simply wouldn’t be what it is without the women on our team. Every day they lead programs, support members and families, build connections, and help make this Centre a place where our community can thrive.

This month, our spaces were filled with powerful conversations, creativity, and community as we came together to celebrate the impact of Black leaders and artists — past, present, and future.
Our Black History Month Event was a special highlight. Huge thank you to our incredible spotlight speakers @jahniah.c, Kurt from @onyxbarbers, and @morgano.smith for sharing their voices and experiences so openly. And thank you to @poettray_ and the other talented performers who brought so much heart through spoken word and song.
We were also proud to host @scarborougharts this month for their EAST BAM! workshops. Our youth had the opportunity to learn about historical Black activism, art, and even robotics!
We’re grateful for all the opportunities we had this month to learn, listen, and show our appreciation together as a community. ?
