West Scarborough Neighbourhood Community Centre – Programs for All Ages

Wednesday night we held our 2025 Annual General Meeting and Volunteer Banquet and what a night it was! ⚽❤️ This year’s soccer-themed evening was dedicated to celebrating the incredible volunteers who make WSNCC what it is. We welcomed back old Club alumni, formally announced our 2026 Nadine Pendleton Educational Bursary Fund recipients, and presented our Beacon Award to longtime WSNCC staff member Donovan Minott. Nights like this remind us just how special West Scarborough really is. WSNCC operates on land that is the traditional territory of many nations including the Mississaugas of the Credit, the Anishnabeg, the Chippewa, the Haudenosaunee and the Wendat peoples and is now home to many diverse First Nations, Inuit and Métis peoples. We acknowledge that Toronto is covered by Treaty 13 signed with the Mississaugas of the Credit, and the Williams Treaties signed with multiple Mississaugas and Chippewa bands. We also acknowledge all Treaty peoples – including those who came here as settlers – as migrants either in this generation or in generations past and those who came here involuntarily, particularly as a result of the trans-Atlantic slave trade.
