Congrats to our Kindergarten Readiness program graduates! 🎓❤️ Earlier this month we celebrated children in our EarlyON programs who completed the Kindergarten Readiness program and are heading into their first years of Kindergarten this September. This is just one of the many free programs offered through EarlyON at WSNCC; designed to give West Scarborough children the foundation they need before they walk through those school doors for the first time. Yesterday our SKY Girls got to take the field at Rogers Centre as part of the Girls at Bat program, funded by @jayscare. Over the past three weeks, they’ve been learning baseball at SKY—our all-girls summer camp—with the help of @canadiantraininginstitute, and yesterday was their chance to put it all to the test with a day full of baseball themed activations right on the field. ⚾❤️ Thank you to Jays Care for inviting us out and for giving our girls some amazing opportunities! #WSNCC #WestScarborough #SKYGirls #GirlsAtBat #JaysCare

WSNCC operates on land that is the traditional territory of many nations including the Mississaugas of the Credit, the Anishnabeg, the Chippewa, the Haudenosaunee and the Wendat peoples and is now home to many diverse First Nations, Inuit and Métis peoples. We acknowledge that Toronto is covered by Treaty 13 signed with the Mississaugas of the Credit, and the Williams Treaties signed with multiple Mississaugas and Chippewa bands. We also acknowledge all Treaty peoples – including those who came here as settlers – as migrants either in this generation or in generations past and those who came here involuntarily, particularly as a result of the trans-Atlantic slave trade.
