West Scarborough Neighbourhood Community Centre – Programs for All Ages

One of our favourite things about West Scarborough? The people who take initiative for their community. As a trustee for the Local Leadership Grant, WSNCC is proud to help organize and amplify resident-led groups doing meaningful work right here in the neighbourhood. 🌱💚 This is the PDP Resident-Led Group, who recently held a gardening training as part of their initiative right here at WSNCC. It was so great to see our community gather around something they’re passionate about. This is West Scarborough doing what it does best. WSNCC operates on land that is the traditional territory of many nations including the Mississaugas of the Credit, the Anishnabeg, the Chippewa, the Haudenosaunee and the Wendat peoples and is now home to many diverse First Nations, Inuit and Métis peoples. We acknowledge that Toronto is covered by Treaty 13 signed with the Mississaugas of the Credit, and the Williams Treaties signed with multiple Mississaugas and Chippewa bands. We also acknowledge all Treaty peoples – including those who came here as settlers – as migrants either in this generation or in generations past and those who came here involuntarily, particularly as a result of the trans-Atlantic slave trade.
